With SDSU's victory over LBSU, they have clinched first place in the WCHC this regular season, with a 7-1-0 record. CSUN has one game remaining, but will finish as the 2nd seed. The final two playoff spots are to be determined this coming weekend as LBSU, CSUF and LMU all play. LBSU is in the strongest position, as they need a single point to guarantee their playoff life. They host LMU on Friday and play at CSUF on Saturday. CSUF also needs a single point to clinch a playoff spot as they face CSUN on Friday and LBSU on Saturday. LMU has the toughest road, as the Lions need to garner two points against LBSU, and have either CSUF or LBSU not get a single point in their final games.
